Moni Agarwal’s fame has spread from Hyderabad and the designer has carved an enviable reputation in the world of jewellery. Her creativity has a great blend of classic and unconventional touches that are eye-catchingly hypnotic.
Called “Meeravali” the magnificent jewellery created from the highest quality polkis and Columbian emeralds was inspired by Rajasthani traditions and beauty. Aimed at the New Age bride the collection had distinct touches of royal grandeur.
Jhumkhas with clusters of tiny pearls had striking rubies and pear shaped emeralds along with polkis set in gold. The tiniest of pearls were strung together in myriad strands and ended in emerald pyramids for a stunning neckpiece. Seven rows of polkis were clasped with a majestic centre pendant ideal for the blushing bride.
Creating more drama on the ramp were the gorgeous haslees, luxurious pearl entwined gold and diamond waistbands, and emerald chain with angular pendants. Kundan shoulder dusters, giant circular centres for gold beaded chains formed necklaces while rows of emeralds, pearls, diamonds for Raani Haars and the double level version of the same were breathtaking in their grandeur and craftsmanship.
Maang Tikkas were matched perfectly with the glorious neckpieces; while the giant circular centres were seen in a variety of angles for the ornaments. Kundan danglers creatively played with the precious metal pearls and the glistening gems were a mind-blowing experience to view under the ramp lights.
Chitrangada Singh, Bollywood’s glamorous diva made a lovely showstopper for the collection wearing a dazzling Raani Haar, studded diamond collar, intricate cummerbund, nose ring, Haath Phool and bracelet.
The clothes called “Mirror Miracle” for the collection were exclusively created by talented Hyderabad designer, Anitha Reddy.
Shirin Bandukwala and Chirag Soni, Directors from the Solitaire Gemological Laboratories took the ramp at the end of a glorious show.
For bridal jewellery that will create an aura of stunning beauty on that special day, Moni Agarwal’s “Meeravali” collection presented by Solitaire Gemological Laboratories will get the best compliments.
