Theme – Astitva
Astitva means Existence, collection inspired by Indian Architecture.
The architecture of India is rooted in its history, culture and religion. Indian architecture reflects its various socio-cultural sensibilities which vary from region to region and also result of traditions and outside cultural interactions.
The collection is divided in two segments i.e. first phase of the collection is inspired from City palace Jaipur and rest of the collection inspired by architecture of different regions in Indian.
Jewellery collection designed by students of IIGJ Jaipur developed under their respective integrated design project; they have extracted motifs and architectural form, and interpreted it into jewellery Product.
About IIGJ
Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJJ), Jaipur, a project of Gems &Jewellery Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and Government of India with support from Government of Rajasthan is a pioneer institute for the Gems and Jewellery sector with a strong focus on Education and training in the sub-sector domains of Design, Technology and Management. The philanthropic approach of renowned jewellers of Jaipur along with the GJEPC and NSDC was instrumental in sponsoring the institute that stands today, as a landmark of elegance & aesthetics. The State of the Art Institute equipped with the latest technology, paraphernalia of machinery gadgets, equipment and competent faculty resources make our education, deep and meaningful way to our jewellery trade and society as a whole. It is fully geared to cater to the need of the acute shortage of skilled manpower, faced by the Gem &Jewellery Industry IIGJJ Jaipur is the first training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to impart training in various skill areas of Gem and Jewellery Sector.
